The ASI2600MC Pro features Sony’s newest back-illuminated IMX571 APS-C format native 16-bit ADC sensor. It has ultra-high 14 stops dynamic range, ultra-low 1.0e readout noise and an innovative breakthrough resulting in zero amp-glow. This is the ideal camera for the astro-photographer.

Native 16bit ADC

This is ZWO’s first batch of CMOS astronomy cameras that feature 16bit ADC. This allows the camera to achieve an output of 14 stops of dynamic range. This improves image sharpness and contrast, which makes the color changes smoother and more natural.

 

Camera Performance

The ZWO ASI2600MC Pro has excellent performance. When the gain value is 100, the magical HCG (High Gain Mode) is turned on, which will greatly reduce the readout noise, and the dynamic range is unchanged. It is recommended to set the gain to 0 or gain 100 in deep space.

 

Zero Amp Glow

While traditional CMOS sensors produce a weak infrared light during operation, the ASI2600MC Pro will uses zero amp glow circuitry, which allows you to image without the worry about amp glow during high gain, long exposure imaging.
