At the heart of the Takahashi FS-60CB is a two element fluorite lens that is multi-coated for maximum light transmission and durability. This air-spaced doublet is hard-coated in a vacuum chamber, the result of which is amazing high contrast images that will please you for years to come. In fact, the Takahashi FS-60CB also sports internal knife-edge baffles to further increase contrast by taming any stray light that may enter the system.
Takahashi Japan is not only famous for their optical quality, the mechanical specs provide a level of overall quality that can’t be beat. The 2.4″ rack and pinion focuser comes with knobs that are easy to find and rotate in the dark, even with gloves on. From that jumping off point, you can add a wide range of adapters, flatteners, reducers, and other accessories to outfit your Tak for visual use or photography. Takahashi FSQ-106EDX4 Refractor OTA
$6,040.00The Takahashi FSQ-106EDX4 is a redesign of the popular FSQ-106 and is a superior flat-field super quadruplet refractor. This redesigned version features a flat field advanced Petzval quadruplet design, with extra-low dispersion (ED) glass for super color correction in the UV, visible and IR wavelengths. This optical design results in pin point star images and increased field illumination. Designed from the ground up for digital imaging, this new 4 element / 4 group design is also capable of stunning visual performance.

Takahashi Mewlon M-180C Reflector OTA
$1,900.00The Mewlon series from Takahashi features Dall-Kirkham Cassegrain telescopes for visual observation. Through proprietary manufacturing methods, Takahashi provides concave anellipsoidal primary mirror and a spherical secondary mirror at a reasonable cost.
The μ-180 is Takahashi latest addition to the Mewlon line. This 180 mm aperture telescope is an f/12, 2160 mm instrument. With the optional reducer / flattener, the f-ratio can be reduced to f/9.8. The m-180 comes with a built-in 6×30 finder scope.

Takahashi Mewlon M-210 Reflector OTA
$3,000.00The Takahashi Mewlon Series of Dall-Kirkham Telescopes by Takahashi combines refractor-like performance in a larger folded optic reflector design. The Mewlon series comes in three objective diameters: 210 mm, 250 mm and 300 mm. This revolutionary design has set the standard in folded optic systems.
The precision optical surfaces of the Mewlon series is at least λ/20. This results a highly concentrated airy disc, resulting in pin point star images and high contrast fields. The primary mirror is installed in a specially designed mirror cell that is designed to reduce astigmatism.

Takahashi TOA-130NS Refractor OTA

The resulting system achieves a high level of apochromatic performance for both visual observation and imaging. Takahashi engineers have a undertaken a complete redesign of the triplet system, completely eliminating spherical aberration while minimizing axial chromatic aberration in the visible light spectrum.
In typical apochromatic designs, the elimination of chromatic aberration is usually at the expense of increasing spherical aberration at various wavelengths. However, with the TOA series, the focal shift across the entire visible spectrum from 436 nm up to 656 nm is less than +/- 0.01 mm. This is less than 1/100 the aberration of a typical apochromatic design.
TOA-130NS
The TOA-130NS is a 130 mm apochromatic f/7.7 refractor with a focal length of 1000 mm. It features a retractable lens hood and 2.7 inch rack and pinion focuser. A complete line of flatteners, reducers and extenders are available, including the 67-series flattener, which provides a 90 mm imaging circle.

Takahashi TSA-120 Refractor OTA

Two focuser options are available: the stock Takahashi focuser, or an upgrade to the Feathertouch 3.0 inch focuser kit.
TSA-120
The TSA-120 is a 120 mm apochromatic f/7.5 refractor with a focal length of 900 mm. It features a retractable lens hood and a 2.7 inch rack and pinion focuser. The TSA is compatible with several flatteners, reducers and extenders, including the TOA-35 Reducer, which converts the telescope to a f/5.3 imaging platform with a 44 mm image circle.
